Chicago Ornithological Society - promotes the scientific and educational aspects of ornithology in the greater Chicago area.

Cornell Lab of Ornithology - the folks who helped re-discover the Ivory-billed Woodpecker.

Dupage Birding Club - our neighbors to the east whose purpose is to promote birding as an avocation, and to educate its members and the general public.

IBET (Illinois Birders Exchanging Thoughts) - an e-mail list for the discussion of wild birds and birding issues relating to Illinois.
